About Volvo/Scat Trak

On the cusp of the industrial revolution, at the age of just 27, Johan Theofron Munktell was commissioned by the city of Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1832 to found an engineering workshop with the purpose of developing the local mechanical industry. With his development of Sweden’s first printing press and machinery used for making coins, Munktell embraced mechanical technology. Soon his company began building steam locomotives which then led to steam powered construction equipment, before tractors were even the norm. Today Volvo parts are one of the industry's most well-known products and brands.

Founder Levi Burkholder rebuilt his first engine at the age of fourteen in his father's repair shop. In 1996, he opened Burkholder Repair in Wakarusa, IN to focus on hydraulic repair. In 2008, Levi opened Loader Parts Source to provide quality parts with quick delivery times at great prices. The business grew rapidly. Since its opening, LPS not only provides hydraulic pumps and drive motors, but also starters, engines, alternators, and more.
